What I Do & What I Have Done

To begin, I completed my undergraduate studies in three years at Texas Christian University. There, I earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with broadcast and digital media certificates as well as a minor in studio art with a focus in photography and graphic design. While at TCU, I was heavily involved in the School of Journalism’s student media operation.
Shortly after graduating in May 2015, I decided to further my education in mass communication, specifically advertising. I moved across the state to attend Texas Tech University. In December 2016, I obtained a master’s in mass communication with an emphasis in advertising.
Outside my graduate studies, I had the opportunity to work in an agency setting for the first time. Ultimately, I had decided that I wanted to work in the advertising sector in the future. Starting as an intern and later being offered a part-time position, GriffinWink Advertising gave me an opportunity to work as a web designer for real clients in the West Texas area. I began as a generic editor, and soon after, a copywriter. I was quickly given more responsibilities and freedom. Shortly after, I began conceptualizing, designing and maintaining client websites completely on my own.
Upon graduating with my master’s, I was able to secure a job as a full-time web designer and developer for The Owen Group, an advertising agency based in Lubbock, Texas. I was the agency’s first designated web designer and I had the privilege to develop websites for the majority of our clients, old and new.
After 2.5 years of living in Lubbock, where I discovered so much about my strengths and passions, I decided to move back to my hometown of Houston. In May 2018, I accepted a web developer role with Love Advertising. I’m so excited to continue to grow and learn from some of the top minds in the industry.
While I’m not at my 9-5, you can find me indulging in my other creative passions like photography. I spend the majority of my weeknights and weekends behind a camera lens, editing photo sessions and growing my photography business.
