A new look was long overdue. While I had recently launched a redesign of my portfolio, which focused primarily on my web development and graphic design work, I am now wanting to grow my photography business. Therefore, I thought it was about time to build a website where I could showcase both of my passions: design and photography. In addition to serving as an outlet to display my work, I’d also like to use this website as a platform to share my thoughts and engage with others. Really, to communicate people like you. It’s time to step out from behind the curtain and get a little more personal. I want to know your roots and where you came from, I want you to share your experiences and story, and I want to be able to share mine with you too. Most importantly, I want to share my purest self with you and I want you to feel comfortable enough to share your purest self with me.
Everyone has their own story to tell. Personally, I love incorporating my design and photography skills into telling not only my story but also other people’s stories. I hope to tell my own story through this website I’ve designed that showcases my skills and my business and serves as a place for me to reflect, grow and connect with others. This is one of the many reasons why I love photography and design.
HOW DO YOU PREFER TO TELL YOUR STORY?
I’m interested in knowing! Leave me a comment below.
In case you don’t already know me, my name is Kaitlyn (I guess that’s pretty obvious, huh?). I’m the girl who runs this website. People often describe me as passionate, intricate, optimistic—okay, and definitely silly. In addition to being a designer as well as a photographer, I’m also a writer, a loving sister and a terrible cook (but an amazing baker). Some things I love include:
- Quoting “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” with my boyfriend
- Cuddling with my puppies
- Occasionally eating ice cream for dinner
- Volunteering as a service dog trainer
- Hiking with friends
- Pretending I’m an interior designer
Do we have anything in common? I bet we do!
