The Client
Be An Angel Fund is a nonprofit organization based in Houston that serves children with multiple disabilities and profound deafness. While I worked as an intern for the nonprofit, I was tasked with the responsibility to conceptualize and design material that aligns with its vision. Be An Angel’s vision is founded upon the belief that identifying and fulfilling the needs of these very special children by providing adaptive equipment, special services and programs will provide the spark that will brighten their lives.
When conceptualizing the tagline, the clients wanted a phrase that represented the organization, while simultaneously showing how the nonprofit can positively affect a child’s life. “One donation, a lifetime of smiles” is used throughout all print marketing materials, either paired with the logo or throughout copy. The marketing materials and stationery were streamlined to be more visually appealing. The repetition of colors and geometric components throughout the materials bring unity to the package and depict a professional brand and corporate identity for the clients.
Postcard Copy
When you first meet Meg, you can’t help but fall in love with her. Born a twin four months prematurely, Meg lost her brother when he was just 15 days old. At 9 years old today, Meg is both blind and has cerebellar hypoplasia, requiring a wheelchair. Because of your generosity, Meg and hundreds of other children with disabilities have had the opportunity to experience Camp Be An Angel. For three days, families experience no barriers at Camp Be An Angel. Children participate in camp activities without being hindered by their disabilities. Imagine the excitement of a child as they ride a horse for the first time, feel the wind as they propel down a zip line, or sing and dance with new friends around a campfire.
Thanks to donors like you, Be An Angel is able to bring smiles to the faces of our children and their loved ones. We are hoping that you will join us to make a difference in improving the quality of life for the children we serve. A gift of $100 can send another child to Camp Be An Angel this September so they can experience the magic of camp just like Meg.

This is an annual tournament to benefit Be An Angel. I assisted by designing social media cover photos and a three-page sponsorship packet to include the tournament invitation, schedule of events and sponsorship opportunities.
